Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal Offers Prayers at Prithvinath Mahadeva Temple, Reviews Development Works

Gonda: Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal visited the Prithvinath Mahadeva Temple in Gonda with her family and offered prayers to Baba Prithvinath. During her visit, she inspected the temple premises and reviewed arrangements related to devotees’ convenience, cleanliness, security and other public facilities.

The Commissioner conducted an on-site inspection of various development, beautification and public convenience projects being undertaken at the temple. She reviewed the progress of works including ghat beautification, tourist shelters, external site development, horticulture, tourist facilities and electrification.

She sought details from officials regarding the progress, quality and compliance with prescribed standards of the ongoing projects.

Nagpal directed officials to ensure that all development and beautification works at the temple are completed within the stipulated timeframe and without compromising on quality. She also instructed that completed works be improved wherever necessary to make them more organised, attractive and functional.

The Commissioner said Prithvinath Mahadeva Temple is an important religious and historical site that attracts a large number of devotees. Therefore, special attention must be paid to ensuring that visitors face no inconvenience.

She directed officials to strengthen and streamline facilities such as cleanliness, lighting, drinking water, seating arrangements, access routes, the ghat area and parking. Remaining and proposed works should be completed within the prescribed timeline, she said, adding that regular monitoring must be carried out at every stage.

She particularly emphasised developing tourist facilities and other public amenities in a manner that benefits both local devotees and visitors coming from outside the district. Cleanliness, safety and an attractive appearance should receive special attention in the development of the ghat and surrounding areas.

Nagpal further stressed that development activities should be undertaken in a planned manner while preserving the religious sanctity, cleanliness and natural beauty of the temple premises.

She directed the concerned officials to conduct regular inspections of completed works and ensure immediate corrective or maintenance measures wherever required.

The Commissioner instructed officials to continuously monitor all arrangements and ensure that every devotee visiting the temple receives a clean, safe, accessible and comfortable environment without facing any inconvenience.
